Unified cloud communications company BroadSoft has tied up with Swisscom to offer cloud IP services to business customers.

Swisscom says in will market the service as Smart Business Connect, using BroadSoft’s Business UC-One application, as part of a new tariff model.

“Smart Business Connect stands for a modern IP telephony solution from the cloud,” said Reto Baschera, head of business products at Swisscom. “For Swisscom, it is a logical step to now add UCC functions. In cooperation with BroadSoft, we can offer our customers a real added value and open up new opportunities for simple and flexible collaboration.”

It will allow Swisscom’s small and medium-sized business customers to operate functions from a single app regardless of location, with one invoice.

BroadSoft vice president of sales for the region, Marco Meier, said: “This offers network operators great market opportunities. Swisscom is now ideally positioned to support mobile businesses and employees to greater effectiveness and flexibility with its BroadSoft Business solutions for unified communication and collaboration.”
