Chunghwa Telecom reshuffles management board
Taiwan operator Chunghwa Telecom appoints new CFO, CIO and chief audit executive to ‘bring fresh perspective to the company’s financial operation and strategic investment’, says chairman
Chunghwa Telecom, the Taiwan telco incumbent, has announced the appointment of several new positions on its senior management team.
The company’s board of directors has named Shui-Yi Kuo as the new chief financial officer, Ronald Song as chief investment officer and Fu-Kui Chung as chief audit executive.
Speaking on the new appointments, Yu Cheng, chairman of Chunghwa Telecom, said: “I believe these new senior management team members will bring fresh perspective to the company’s financial operation and strategic investment. By leveraging their professional experience and strategic vision, they will provide strong financial and operational support to our business.”
Before entering his role as chief financial officer Kuo held a number of roles within the company including chief investment officer and senior executive vice president as well as vice president of the investment department and accounting department. Prior to that he was president of Light Era Development, the property subsidiary of Chunghwa Telecom. He also holds a masters’ degree in accounting from National Chengchi University.
Song previously held the position of president at Chungwa Investment Co, another subsidiary of Chungwa Telecom. Before that he held a number of senior management positions at global investment banks. He is the holder of a MBA from the University of Iowa.
In addition to his new appointment as chief audit executive, Chung is the chairman of Taiwan International Standard Electronics, a subsidiary company of Chunghwa Telecom. Before this, he worked in several different business areas across Chunghwa Telecom, including senior executive vice president at its corporate headquarters. He was president of the Northern Taiwan Business Group and president of the Data Communication Business Group.
