Vodafone names Murielle Lorilloux as CEO of Romanian unit

Vodacom DRC MD Lorilloux to replace Ravinder Takkar from 1 September 2017

Vodafone has unveiled Murielle Lorilloux as the new chief executive officer at its Romanian unit. She will take up the role on 1 September.

Former Vodacom DRC managing director Lorilloux will replace Ravinder Takkar, who is moving to Vodafone Group Services division, to become chairman of regional business development. Takkar will maintain his position as president of Vodafone Romania’s board of administration until 1 September

Lorilloux has also held roles as chief commercial officer at Vodacom Democratic Republic of Congo, having joined in 2013 from Wana Corporate. She has also held roles with Telecom Algeria and Capgemini.

In her new role heading up Vodafone Romania, Lorilloux will report directly to Vodafone’s chief of Europe cluster Ahmed Essam.
