Qualcomm chipsets top 1m per day for IoT

Qualcomm has unveiled shipments of chipsets for the internet of things has passed the million per day mark, as the market is set to see significant growth

The chipset maker said more than 1.5 billion devices have now been shipped using its IoT solution, which span the wearables, smart home, industry and other connected products.

For commercial and industrial IoT applications, over 30 designs use Qualcomm’s MDM9206 modem which offers multimode support for LTE and GPRS.
